LANXESS introducing new water-miscible lubricant additive packages at 2016 STLE Annual Meeting & Exhibition – May 15 – 19 in Las Vegas
Pittsburgh, PA – May 16, 2016– LANXESS Corporation’s Rhein Chemie Additives business unit will introduce a new line of Additin® water-miscible additive packages for synthetic and semi-synthetic metalworking fluids at the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada, from May 15 to 19, 2016.
The new Additin WM Packages, which represent an extension of the company’s proven Additin WM range of water-miscible additives, are balanced formulations designed for further dilution in water and/or oil to provide a market-ready metalworking fluid concentrate. Dr. Govindlal V. Khemchandani, Head of Rhein Chemie Additives’ North American Technical Center in Pittsburgh, PA, emphasized that Additin WM Packages can be used to formulate full synthetic and semi-synthetic metalworking fluid concentrates for metal forming and metal cutting applications.
“We are pleased to offer our customers a simple and consistent solution to an otherwise complex blending process with our new water-miscible packages,” said Joseph Egan, Director of Sales for the Lubricant Additives line of the Rhein Chemie Additives business unit. “Additionally, since the packages are already tailored to specific metalworking fluid applications, they can help minimize inventory requirements and allow a faster time to market, versus single components.”
In booth #319, LANXESS Corporation’s Rhein Chemie Additives business unit will feature its full Additin series of additives for a wide range of industrial lubricants, lubricating greases and metalworking fluids. The Additin portfolio includes extreme-pressure additives, anti-wear additives, corrosion inhibition additives, antioxidants, specialties, and a variety of other additive packages.
