Reliability and Sustainability at Precast 2012
Pittsburgh, PA - One of the world’s largest producers of iron oxide pigments, LANXESS, will be showcasing its solutions at this year’s Precast show in Orlando, FL.
The concrete industry has long-relied on LANXESS’s Inorganic Pigments Group (IPG) to deliver on its promises to customers both worldwide and in North America. The company has continually invested in capacity expansion and product innovation to ensure long-term success for those who purchase its pigments. When it comes to a commitment to sustainability, LANXESS offers a global sustainability strategy. Innovative, resource-friendly production processes and efficiency measures are employed at LANXESS IPG production plants around the world. At its plant in Brazil, the production process is completely carbon-neutral and is fuelled by bagasse, the fibrous parts of the sugarcane plant left over as a by-product of sugar production.
Roland Flindt, Head of the Inorganic Pigments Group (IPG) in North America believes that a robust sustainability strategy, along with quality, safety and technical service are what sets LANXESS apart from competitors. “We consistently deliver on these promises, and that is an important advantage in the market. With our investments in all of our synthesis sites over the last years, we support our customers in their growth strategies – and there is more to come,” says Flindt.
LANXESS’s Bayferrox® pigments are available in powder, compact pigment and granular forms and offer high tinting strength. Additionally, they are extraordinarily lightfast and weather-stable, and distinguished by their high quality and simple and environmentally compatible processing. These pigments are used to color construction materials such as cast in-situ concrete, pre-cast concrete components, concrete roofing tiles, pavers and asphalt.
IPG’s Global Competence Center Construction provides customers with technical assistance in mixing and metering technology, throughout all stages of the process. In an ongoing effort to respond to customer needs, solar reflectance testing required for many LEED heat island reduction projects is available in North America. LANXESS IPG’s technical and sales teams will be on-hand to answer questions during the show at the LANXESS booth (#816).
