LANXESS Liquid Purification Technologies Focuses on Drinking Water and Waste Water Applications at IWC 2021

Birmingham, NJ – October 11, 2021LANXESS’ Liquid Purification Technologies (LPT) business unit enables customers in a wide variety of industries to meet their water purification challenges with a broad portfolio of ion exchange resins (IXR), iron oxide adsorbers, and proprietary system modeling software. And while LANXESS LPT has specialized resins and services to meet the challenges of many industries, the group will be focusing primarily on the drinking water and waste water applications at its IWC 2021 booth, November 8 and 9, 2021.

Lewatit® IXR for Drinking Water

Outstanding German product quality, long-established technical experience, production know-how covering more than 80 years, compliance with a great number of regulatory requirements globally, and drinking water certification are only a few of the characteristics that benefit LANXESS’ Lewatit® brand IXR.

Lewatit® ion exchange resins are used around the globe for the removal of PFAS and other dangerous contaminants. Per- and Polyfluorinated Alkyl Substances (PFAS) are a family of surface-active chemicals sometimes found in ground water. LANXESS has a family of selective IXR that reliably reduce PFAS to within safe drinking water limits. Selective Lewatit® resins have the highest selectivity available for PFAS removal to provide the lowest residual concentration in treated water. They are especially resilient against organic fouling.

Lewatit® IXR for Waste Water
For the purification of industrial wastewater, the removal of toxic ionic and non-ionic toxic substances is a crucial task. LANXESS has a wide range of special Lewatit® ion exchange resins and adsorbers that remove many types of heavy metal ions and organic pollutants efficiently. Due to the high selectivity of the resins, extremely low effluent concentrations are economically achievable, thus providing cost savings by achieving minimal or even zero liquid discharge. Additionally, precious metals can be recovered and value is preserved by recycling.

LANXESS’ Liquid Purification Technologies business unit part of the company’s Consumer Protection segment, which achieved a turnover of €1.44 billion in 2017.  Visit us at the International Water Conference, November 8 and 9, 2021, or learn more at https://lpt.lanxess.com/
